"First line of COVID defense"
COVID19 is venomously ruling the entire world as there is no medicine so far. Prevention is better than cure. In order to reduce this disease spread we have to do rigorously Community screening. We can control the spread by identifying likely infected people. Among the most common symptoms seen in likely COVID positive patients are fever, dry throat and tiredness. Currently all visitors to a hospital, a public place or any other institution are passively screened for symptoms of fever alone before entering any facility.
Currently, around the world, infrared forehead thermometers are used to measure the temperature of people in airports, hospitals and other public places. This type of screening is having the following issues - Close contact measurement provokes fear of infection across people being screening, Increases risk to the person conducting the screening as social distancing is not maintained, Forehead thermometers are error prone and time consuming, labor intensive and can cause long queues when used in areas with a high volume of people, Currently available devices are only for symptomatic people and possible intrusion of infected person into our premises.
Entry of infected person results in creating panic among workforce, heavy money loss on disinfecting the building, demotivation among our workforce. No devices around the globe to identify asymptomatic and symptomatic people altogether. Just measuring increased temperature of the person is also not a sufficient signal of COVID19 infection. It is a must to measure one's oxygen level too for effective screening.
“Nephostack launches Lyfe Avenue for effective community screening. It is aimed towards enabling automated screening of groups of people to detect likely COVID19 infected people by checking for fever plus low oxygen level.”
